Daria: name numerology
Enter a name and a date of birth — the same engine that produced this page does the arithmetic.
Work out your own name
The same name, counted four different ways — and only the fourth touches your date.
All four arrive as one document. Each chapter says first what that number describes for anybody, and only then reads the one your letters produced; the same file comes to your email as a PDF made for printing.
This page counts one spelling of one name. The document says what that costs the method — spell the name another way and the numbers move with it — and it says so in the first chapter, not in a footnote at the end.
4 chapters
The number costs nothing and asks for no address. The written reading is free as well — it asks for an email, because that is where the document is sent.
The calculation is free and needs no account. For entertainment and self-development only — not advice.
Daria runs to 24 in the Pythagorean table and reduces to an Expression of 6. Only D and R are consonants, and their 13 leaves a Personality of 4, while the three vowels give a Soul Urge of 8.

A king’s name made feminine
Behind Daria stands Old Persian Darayavaush, the throne name Greek writers turned into Dareios and Latin into Darius. The feminine was formed from it in Greek, and English received it through Latin together with the Roman martyr Daria, which is how the spelling with a single i became the standard one. Darya, Dariya and Dasha are transliterations and short forms, each a different string of letters.
Two consonants against three vowels
D is 4 and R is 9, and that is the entire consonant side: 13, folding to a Personality of 4 — the same 4 the Russian spelling reaches from a longer run of consonants. The vowels are where the two tables disagree. In the breakdown I is 9, the heaviest letter in the name; in the soul cipher it drops to 6, while both A letters hold at 1. The vowel sum is therefore 8 rather than 11, which means the Soul Urge cannot be recovered by adding the digits printed above it.
Frequently asked
Is Darya the same name as Daria?
The same name, a different spelling. Darya swaps the i for a y, and y counts as a vowel in English, so the vowel set and both derived numbers move.
Does Daria share anything with Darius?
The root, yes — the feminine was built from it. The letters, no: Darius has six of them including U and S, so nothing in the arithmetic carries over.
Why does the letter I have two values on this page?
Because the Soul Urge uses a separate vowel cipher rather than the main table. I is 9 in one and 6 in the other, and both numbers are correct in their own place.
