Irina: name numerology
Three of the five letters in Irina are worth 9 apiece — both I letters and the R — so the total reaches 33 and then reduces, as this method reduces everything, to an Expression of 6. The Soul Urge is 4 and the Personality 5.

The breakdown above uses this language’s letter table. The Soul Urge is built from a separate vowel cipher, so adding up the values in this list will not reproduce it.
Irina, Irene and a Greek word for peace
Irina is the Slavic form of Greek Eirene, a common noun meaning peace long before it was anyone's name, and English borrowed it directly rather than translating it. The older English cognate is Irene, which arrived centuries earlier through Latin and carries an E where Irina has an A. Rina and Ira are separate strings again. Nothing is inherited between them: each spelling is added up on its own letters.
Why 33 does not stay 33
Several numerology traditions stop at 11, 22 and 33, call them master numbers and keep them whole. The tables behind this page do not: every sum is taken down to one digit, so 33 becomes 3 + 3 and lands on 6. That 33 comes from three heavy letters — I, R and I again — worth 9 each and accounting for 27 of the total. The two consonants add to 14 for a Personality of 5, while the vowel cipher drops I from 9 to 6, so I, I and A read 6, 6 and 1 for a Soul Urge of 4.

Are Irene and Irina the same name here?
They share an origin but not a spelling, and the method reads spelling. Irene is five letters ending in E, so its sums are entirely its own.
Why is a master number reduced on this page?
Because the calculator behind these pages takes every total down to one digit, including 11, 22 and 33. Other traditions keep them whole; this one is consistent about it.
Does the Cyrillic spelling give the same result?
No. Those five letters are read through the Russian table, which weights them differently, and the three numbers come out unrelated to these.
