Michael: name numerology
Enter a name and a date of birth — the same engine that produced this page does the arithmetic.
Work out your own name
The same name, counted four different ways — and only the fourth touches your date.
All four arrive as one document. Each chapter says first what that number describes for anybody, and only then reads the one your letters produced; the same file comes to your email as a PDF made for printing.
This page counts one spelling of one name. The document says what that costs the method — spell the name another way and the numbers move with it — and it says so in the first chapter, not in a footnote at the end.
4 chapters
The number costs nothing and asks for no address. The written reading is free as well — it asks for an email, because that is where the document is sent.
The calculation is free and needs no account. For entertainment and self-development only — not advice.
Michael gives an Expression number of 6, a Soul Urge of 1 and a Personality of 9. The silent CH is worth as much as the rest of the consonants put together in this spelling.

The archangel’s name
Michael is Hebrew Mikha’el, a question rather than a statement: who is like God? It belongs to the archangel of the Christian calendar, which is how it reached almost every European language. English keeps the CH from the Greek transliteration while pronouncing nothing like it, and that spelling quirk is exactly what the arithmetic reacts to. Mike, Mick and Micah are separate spellings with separate results.
What the CH does
Seven letters total 33 and reduce to an Expression of 6. H is worth 8 and C is 3, so the two letters that are silent together carry 11 of the 18 the consonants contribute; with M and L they give a Personality of 9. The heaviest single letter is I at 9. In the vowel cipher, though, I drops to 6, and with A at 1 and E at 3 the Soul Urge comes to 1 — the lowest number here, from the letters that dominate the spoken name.
Frequently asked
Does the silent CH still count?
Yes. The method reads written letters, not sounds, so C and H are both added at their table values regardless of pronunciation.
Is Mike calculated separately?
Yes. Four letters, no CH, and a different vowel set — Mike shares an origin with Michael and none of its numbers.
Why does Michelle give something different?
Michelle adds two letters and doubles the L, which changes the consonant sum and the total. Related names are not related sums.
