From Andreas to Andrew
Andrew is Greek Andreas, from andreios, manly. The apostle Andrew is the patron saint of Scotland, which is part of why the name has stayed near the top of English-speaking lists for centuries. Andy, Drew and the Cyrillic Андрей are all separate spellings. Drew in particular is a useful comparison: it keeps four letters of Andrew and produces a completely different set of numbers.
