Home and ruler, then eight kings
The Germanic compound is haim, a home or an estate, plus ric, a ruler: roughly the master of a household. French turned it into Henri and the Normans carried it over, where it became the name of eight English kings across four centuries. Spoken English contracted it to Harry, which is why Shakespeare has soldiers shout for Harry and clerks write Henry. It is fifth in the United States and thirteenth in England and Wales.
Three heavy consonants, two light vowels
H is 8, E is 5, N is 5, R is 9 and Y is 7. Thirty-four folds through 7 in one step. The weight is all on the consonant side: H and R alone are 17, half the name, and with N they reach 22 for a Personality of 4. Does Harry give the same result?
It does not. Harry has a doubled R and an A instead of an E and an N, so the total and all three figures come out elsewhere.
Why is the Soul Urge larger than the Personality?
Because the two vowels fold to eight without reduction while the three consonants reach twenty-two and fold down to four. Folding is what makes a large sum small.
Is the French Henri counted the same way?
No. Henri swaps the Y for an I, which is 9 in the table and 6 in the soul cipher rather than 7 and 5, so both figures move.
