Freddie: name numerology
Enter a name and a date of birth — the same engine that produced this page does the arithmetic.
Work out your own name
The same name, counted four different ways — and only the fourth touches your date.
All four arrive as one document. Each chapter says first what that number describes for anybody, and only then reads the one your letters produced; the same file comes to your email as a PDF made for printing.
This page counts one spelling of one name. The document says what that costs the method — spell the name another way and the numbers move with it — and it says so in the first chapter, not in a footnote at the end.
4 chapters
The number costs nothing and asks for no address. The written reading is free as well — it asks for an email, because that is where the document is sent.
The calculation is free and needs no account. For entertainment and self-development only — not advice.
Freddie totals 42 across seven letters and folds to an Expression of 6. Four consonants make 23 for a Personality of 5, and the three vowels reach 12 in the cipher for a Soul Urge of 3.

A ruler of peace, cut down to two syllables
Frederick is the Germanic frid, peace, joined to ric, a ruler — the same second element that ends Henry. English took it from the Normans, lost it, and reimported it from Germany with the Hanoverians. Freddie is the pet form, and like Charlie it is now registered as a name in its own right rather than written on a certificate as the longer version. It is tenth among boys in England and Wales and barely appears in the American list.
A doubled D between two heavy letters
F is 6, R is 9, E is 5, D and D are 4 each, I is 9 and the final E is 5. R and I at 9 each are 18 of the 42, and the doubled D adds only 8 for two whole letters. Forty-two folds to 6 in one step. The consonants F, R, D and D reach 23 and fold to 5. In the soul cipher the two E letters are 3 each and the I is 6, which gives twelve and a 3 — the vowels being the lightest part of a fairly heavy name.
Does Frederick give the same result?
No. Frederick has a C and a K where this has a second D and an E, so the total and all three figures move.
Why does the doubled D count so little?
D is the fourth letter of the alphabet and sits fourth in its row, so it is worth four. Two of them add eight, less than the single R.
Is Freddy with a Y different?
It is. Y is worth 7 in the table against IE at 14, and it counts as a vowel in the soul cipher, so both the total and the Soul Urge change.
