An unsettled name in a famous story
Where Arthur comes from is genuinely unsettled. The Roman family name Artorius, the Brittonic word arth for bear, and the star name Arcturus have all been argued for, and the medieval romances that made the name famous arrive far too late to decide it. The spelling itself has been stable in English for centuries, while Art and Artie circulate beside it as short forms with sums of their own.

None of them. Only the written letters enter the sum, so the unresolved question of where the name began has no arithmetic effect.
Why is U worth 3 in the table but 2 in the Soul Urge?
Because two different tables are in play. The breakdown uses the Pythagorean values; the Soul Urge uses a separate vowel cipher with its own numbers.
