How compatibility is calculated from two birth dates

Each date is first reduced to a single Life Path number: day, month and year are brought down to single digits, added, and reduced once more. It is the same operation as the ordinary Life Path calculator, run twice. Nothing else is used — no birth time, no place, no name.

The two numbers then form a pair, and order does not matter: 3 and 7 is the same pair as 7 and 3, which is why there are exactly 45 pages rather than 81. Every pair also has a figure of its own — the shared number: the two numbers added and reduced to 1–9. For 3 and 7 that is 1; for 4 and 8 it is 3. It describes what the two add up to together rather than either person alone.

Master numbers 11, 22 and 33 reduce to 2, 4 and 6 on a pair page. That is a convention, not a fact: a single person's reading keeps the master number because it marks a different scale of task, but the pair grid is built on nine numbers. The calculator shows both the original number and the one it reduced to, so nothing is quietly swapped.

What the result says, and what it does not

A pair page says two things: what this combination usually rests on, and what it usually trips over. That is a description of how two characters tend to move together — not an assessment of two particular people, and not a verdict on a relationship. Numerology works from a birth date; it knows nothing about your history or about how the two of you talk on a bad day.

The page is most useful read as a list of conversation topics. "One moves first, the other wants the detail" is not a diagnosis; it is a sentence in which a familiar argument becomes recognisable and negotiable. Pairs with an awkward combination stay together for decades, and "ideal" ones separate, because behaviour decides, not arithmetic.

We do not put a score on it. A figure like "85% compatible" cannot be derived from anything, and it manufactures the feeling of a measurement where there is none. What you get instead is plain text about what runs by itself in this pair and what has to be done on purpose.

How this differs from Destiny Matrix compatibility

They are different calculations. Here two Life Path numbers are compared — one figure from each person. The Destiny Matrix pair scheme is built differently: it assembles a separate chart for the couple rather than adding two personal ones. We do not pass one off as the other; the pair matrix will appear when our engine computes it, and not before.

The Pythagorean Square offers a third view, comparing the filled cells of two psychomatrices — where one person is empty and the other is crowded. Each method answers its own question, and none of the three replaces the other two.

Can a birth date tell you whether two people are right for each other?

A birth date can describe how two characters typically move together: what tends to come easily in that combination and what takes deliberate work. The people decide the outcome, and no calculation carries a relationship on their behalf.

What does it mean if both people have the same Life Path number?

Matching numbers mean matching strengths and matching blind spots. Such a pair understands itself almost without speaking, and it also misses the same thing twice, because there is no second angle on a shared problem.

Are master numbers 11, 22 and 33 taken into account?

Yes, the calculator works them out and displays them, but pair pages are built on nine numbers, so 11 reduces to 2, 22 to 4 and 33 to 6. The result states both figures rather than showing only the reduced one.

Do you need a birth time or a name?

No, two dates are enough. Birth time and place belong to an astrological chart, not to numerology, and name numerology is a separate method with its own letter table that does not use this formula.

Does this work for friends, colleagues and family?

Yes — the method does not distinguish between kinds of relationship, it compares two characters. The wording on the pair pages is written to read equally as partners, as a working duo, or as a parent and a child.
