Business Name Numerology
Business name numerology converts a company name letter by letter, adds the values, and reduces the total to a single figure from 1 to 9. Type the name below: the calculator shows the value of every letter, the compound total behind the figure, and the same name read under the second letter chart.
The Chaldean chart, and how to recognise it
Company name numerology runs on a letter chart, and the one practitioners use for names is Chaldean. It assigns values one to eight and never nine, so the quickest way to tell which chart a calculator used is to look for a letter worth nine — if there is one, the chart is Pythagorean.
Worked out on the Chaldean chart, the name Numerology By Nehaa gives 43 for the first word, 3 for the second and 17 for the third: 63 in total, reducing to nine. That is the figure the practitioner who owns the name publishes for it, which is how the chart in use can be verified rather than assumed.
Pythagorean values are shown here as a second line, because business numerology is written about in both. When the two charts land on the same figure, the page says so. When they do not, you get both numbers rather than one number and a hidden decision.
What counts in a company name and what does not
Letters and digits count; spaces, punctuation, ampersands and slashes do not. This matters more than it sounds, because it is the reason two calculators disagree about the same name: one of them was quietly adding a value for something the other skipped.
The legal suffix is the open question. Ltd, LLC, GmbH, Pvt Ltd and their equivalents are part of the registered name and not part of the name anybody says out loud, and practice splits on whether to include them. Both readings are one retype apart here — the letter strip shows what went into the total, so nothing is decided behind your back.
A name written in a non-Latin script has no chart of its own in this tradition. Characters that cannot be placed are marked as uncounted in the strip rather than treated as zeros, so a partly-counted name is visible as one.
Reading a name against its founder
The reason business numerology is searched at all is comparative: people are choosing between two names, or checking a name they have already registered. Enter a date of birth and the name figure appears next to the Mulank and Bhagyank of that date — the day reduced, and the whole date reduced.
The tradition reads a match as a repetition of a theme already present, and a difference as a contrast. It does not read either as good or bad, and this page does not either. Nothing about a name changes what a company does; what the arithmetic gives you is a consistent way to compare candidates and a vocabulary for describing them.
Name numerology for a company and for a person
The arithmetic is the same in both cases — letters into values, values into a total, total into a figure — but what is read out of it is not. A personal name is read through three separate figures: the whole name, the vowels alone and the consonants alone. A company name is normally read as one figure, because a company has no inner and outer self to split.
If you want the three-figure reading for a personal name, the name numerology calculator on this site does that instead, with a per-letter breakdown of the same kind. This page stays with the single business figure, which is the reading the market means by the phrase.
Frequently asked
- Chaldean or Pythagorean for a business name?
- Chaldean is what practitioners publishing business readings use, and its tell is that no letter is worth nine. Pythagorean is the other chart in circulation. Both totals appear on this page, so a name the two charts read differently shows that difference instead of hiding it.
- Should Ltd, LLC or Pvt Ltd be included in the calculation?
- Practice splits, and no source settles it. The suffix is part of the registered name and not part of what anybody calls the company. Run the name both ways and compare — the letter strip shows exactly which characters were added, so the two readings take seconds.
- Do spaces and punctuation change the result?
- No. Only letters and digits carry values; spaces, hyphens, ampersands and full stops are skipped. Two calculators disagreeing about the same name have usually disagreed about a character like an ampersand rather than about the chart itself.
- Is company name numerology the same as business numerology?
- Business numerology is the broader phrase and covers date-based readings for a founder as well as name-based ones for a company. What is searched for as company name numerology is specifically the letter arithmetic on the name, which is what this calculator does.
- Can a name be chosen to reach a particular number?
- A spelling can certainly be adjusted until the total lands where you want it, and people do exactly that. Whether that is worth doing is a judgement about the tradition, not a fact this page can settle — the calculator will tell you what any spelling adds up to and stops there.
